Seven Steps to YPC Success
Follow and complete these steps to get the most of your YPC website.
1. Setup your Select level site at
http://setup.yourpassionconsultant.com
. Remember to choose your username carefully as this will be the address of your site and your email name. For Example:
http://username.yourpassionconsultant.com
and
username@yourpassionconsultant.com
Once you have the site, you may start promoting it by including it in your literature and business cards.
2. As soon as you receive your Welcome Email, login to the YPC Control Panel at
http://www.yourpassionconsultant.com/plexum.php
or the YPC Tab on the PassionNet. We highly recommend you change your password. Once inside you can explore the YPC Control Panel. We suggest that you visit the Company Documents link and download the YPC Handbook. Explore your site both as the consultant AND as a customer/prospect would. CANADIAN CONSULTANTS must change their theme to the Canadian Select option. By default, the theme is set to a US theme.
To change the theme, go to the My Website >> Manage Website link. Then use the drop down menu at the right to select the CANADIAN theme. Click the link near the left -- MAKE AS PRIMARY WEBSITE and the theme will finalize.
3. Once you have the Select level site, you can UPGRADE your site to the Premium level. If you choose not to upgrade right away, go to STEP 4.
Orders placed on your website are processed by you just like party orders. When you upgrade, you will receive an email requesting your shopping cart configuration information. If you do not receive this email, submit the following information in a YPC Support Ticket.
Your name
Your consultant ID#
Your username
Your address (this displays on the shopping cart pages)
Your phone number (displays on the shopping cart pages)
Credit Cards You Accept (If you are using PPI 3rd Party Processing, indicate Visa/Mastercard/Discover for US, Visa/Mastercard for Canada)
Your sales tax rate - this will be charged on all orders shipped to states with sales tax
Your shipping charges (This can be % of the order, flat amount or a sliding scale of 7 "slides". We have a default sliding scale if you prefer.)
It does take 2-3 business days for the shopping cart to be configured.
4. Review the YPC Training schedule in Partners and mark the date on your calendar. Call in and participate in the YPC Basics Training calls and other calls as needed.
5. Read the Internet Guidelines (found in the Policies & Procdures link on the front of the PassionNet) and familiarize yourself with the Policy & Procedures regarding what is allowed on the YPC My Success Story Page, in internet marketing and domain name guidelines.
6. While you wait for your shopping cart (or immediately after getting the Select Level site), you should complete the My Success Story page. This is done through the YPC control panel Review the Quick Start link on the Control Panel for specific instructions.
7. Begin promoting your YPC site by having the site address on your business cards, literature, email signature file (utilize Web Banners) and other marketing methods you choose.
• Include website address on all literature
• Include web banner in email signature file
• Invite (by email) all your friends/family/warm market to visit your site. Ask for their input on your My Success Story page. Don’t be high pressure to buy, host or sign-up.
• Offer anyone who gives input on your site a DISCOUNT on purchasing. (See the Shopping Cart section to find out more about discount codes, gift certificates and upselling.)
• After a hostess has confirmed her RSVP’s, let her know that anyone who purchases from your website before the party (and references her name) will have their orders count toward her total sales. (You may say that 50% will count, etc to encourage her to get the guest to come.)
• Follow-up with all leads with an email inviting them to revisit your site. Change the theme or rewrite your My Success Story page.
• Put a special DISCOUNT code at the bottom of your My Success/Special Offers page. People will share this with their friends!
• Submit your site to the search engines if you want to do online marketing.
• Make your site an EXTENSION of the relationship you build with customer/prospects. Don’t let it replace YOU.
